Born in Birmingham, England, he began his career as a photographer, developing a signature style characterized by dramatic lighting and unique, often gritty storytelling. His work has been published in top magazines and used by prominent brands in campaigns worldwide. Venville transitioned to filmmaking with his feature film debut 44 Inch Chest (2009), a darkly humorous drama featuring Ray Winstone, John Hurt, and Ian McShane.
