Biography

Romain Compingt is the youngest graduate of the CEEA (Conservatoire européen d'écriture audiovisuelle). Régis Roinsard's “Populaire”, five-time nominated at the César 2013, is his frist writing credit on a feature film. He then co-wrote “Divines” with director Houda Benyamina, on which he was also artistic collaborator. The film won the Caméra d'or at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival and the 2017 César for Best First Film. After “Les Traducteurs” (2019), he reunites with Régis Roinsard for “En attendant Bojangles” (2021), based upon the novel of the same name.
