Biography
Robert Cleveland Johnson was an American actor who played supporting roles on series television and in films. Johnson is probably best known as the "voice behind the scenes", who gave the recorded mission briefings on the Mission: Impossible television series. In spite of never being credited for any of his work on Mission: Impossible, Johnson was the only performer to be involved in all seven seasons of the original series, and the two seasons of the 1988 revival. He also reprised the role for a 1968 episode of the sitcom Here's Lucy. His voice was also heard in episodes of The Outer Limits and Star Trek: The Original Series.
