Biography

Süreyya Duru (9 August 1930 - 21 February 1988), Turkish film director and producer. Duru, who graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law after Galatasaray High School, is the son of producer Naci Duru. Süreyya Duru started working as a production supervisor at her father's company, Duru Film. He worked in the films of directors including Orhon Murat Arıburnu, Lütfi Ömer Akad and Atıf Yılmaz. In 1957, he founded the company Murat Film, named after his son.
