Biography
Valentin Kuik (born January 27, 1943 in the village of Zabolotje, near Novgorod, Russia) is an Estonian writer, film director and screenwriter. He graduated from Puurmani Secondary School in 1961. He worked as a physical education teacher at the Kabala 8th grade school. After military service, he went to Tallinn. From 1966 to 1968, he worked as a lighting engineer at Estonian Television and from 1968 to 1970, as a puppeteer at Tallinnfilm.
