Biography

Jaime Leopold was born in the Bronx, N. Y. , in 1946 and moved to Portland with his parents, Rose and Bernard, in 1951. He spent his twenties experiencing the bohemian wilds of San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury and playing upright bass in the celebrated genre-defying group, Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks. After returning home to Portland, Jaime founded a successful marketing agency (now Leopold Ketel) and raised two daughters with his wife, Shirley Lewton.
