Biography

One of the most famous comedy stars in the history of Egyptian cinema and theater, he was born in Menoufia Governorate in 1938. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts at Cairo University in 1960. Hassan Youssef discovered him and introduced him to the theater, where he played in one of his first plays (Hello Shalaby). After that, he presented the play that was a huge success (The School of Rioters), which was shown for 6 years. That was followed by the play (No Longer Kids) with the same crew, which many believe exceeded the success of its predecessor.
