Biography

Mio Tanaka (田中 みお, Tanaka Mio, born November 27, 1968) is a Japanese former model and actress. She was born in Ikebukuro, Toshima, Tokyo. In September 1982, while still a teenager, she made her debut as a nude model under the stage name Shōjo M (少女 M) in the exclusive photo album "Romance Part 2". In June 1983, she appeared in the video "Shōjo M 13-sai", which became a big hit and raised her popularity. Catapulted by this success, she featured in numerous adult magazines, becoming a major star and appearing on the cover on several occasions.
