Biography

Hammy Dimaria, born August 16, 1972 in Marseille, is a Franco-Algerian author, humorist and actor. He grew up in a family of Algerian origin in the southern districts of Marseille where he began a career as a French boxer interrupted by a combat accident during training. Passionate about writing and poetry, he launched and hosted a show mixing humor and culture on a Marseille radio station where listeners nicknamed him "The Gentleman". In 1998 he left for Paris where he created and hosted the show "Un Monde Perfect", on France Maghreb radio, mixing humor and current affairs. He then launched into stand-up with his first show “Où Est-Ce Qu’on Signe?
