Biography

Shion Kaji is the dad of global YouTube sensation, Ryan Kaji of Ryan’s World. He, along with his wife, Loann Kaji, started the original channel as a way for Ryan to keep in touch with extended family. The channel rapidly evolved from the content around toy reviews to global kids play and entertainment brand through digital and broadcast entertainment, toys, and consumer products under multiple categories including apparel, home goods, and books, resulting in over 1,000 Ryan’s World-related products across the globe. Shion is now focused on the Japanese region to help grow the Ryan’s World brand through a number of entertainment/content and licensing projects. Born and raised in Japan, he wants to help Ryan connect more to his roots and discover the rich cultural history of Japan.
