Bolat Tanziluly Omar (Kazakh: Болат Тәнзілұлы Омар; born 14 December 1947; Bayan-Aul) is a Soviet and Kazakh film director, screenwriter, animation director. In 1971, he graduated from the Production Faculty of the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography with a degree in documentary and television film director. Since 1971, he worked as a director at the Kazakhfilm film studio. Since 1988 — Chairman of the Board of self—supporting film studio "Catharsis", since 1989 - Chairman of the board of self-supporting film studio "Orkenfilm". Since 1996, he has worked as a teacher of computer graphics at the Kazakh State Institute of Theater and Cinema named after T.
