Biography

Frank D. Carsey received the Ph. D. degree in physics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), in 1971. ,He has been active in polar research for most of the intervening years, specializing in scientific application of satellite data in polar oceanography, and ice sheet glaciology.
