Stand-up comedian, playwright, and performer Stephen Coombs added screenwriter and filmmaker to his repertoire, with the debut screening of his 2023 Short Film, “World’s Greatest Dad. ” A collaborative effort developed through the NIFCO Introduction to Film course. Stephen’s foray into film follows on the heels of his most recent one-man show Here & Now; a deeply personal yet relatable portrayal of his journey with cancer that is equally touching and hilarious in its observations. Through Stephen's multi-faceted career, one thing that has held constant is the importance of storytelling. Specifically sharing stories inspired by personal life experiences.
