Biography

Kristín Jóhannesdóttir (born 17 November 1948) is an Icelandic film and theatre director. Kristín has directed numerous works on stage and television but also films. Kristín's parents were Sigurbjörg Þorvaldsdóttir (1918-2007), a housewife, and Jóhannes Elíasson (1920-1975), a bank manager. Kristín's husband was Sigurður Pálsson (1948-2017) writer and poet. Their son is John Paul (1987).
