Faith Domergue (born June 16, 1924 – November 4, 1999) was an American actress, primarily known for her roles in science fiction and B-movie films during the 1940s and 1950s. Faith Domergue was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and raised in California. Her early interest in acting led her to pursue a career in Hollywood, and she was discovered by producer Howard Hughes when she was just a teenager. He was impressed by her beauty and signed her to a contract, eventually launching her career in film. Domergue’s breakthrough role came in 1945 when she appeared in the film *The Strange Love of Martha Ivers*, though she didn't achieve major fame until she starred in *This Island Earth* (1955), a classic science fiction film where she played the role of a beautiful alien.
