Biography
Jun Gallardo (also known by the nickname Jim Goldman or John Gale) was a Filipino B-movie director. He was the son of director Cesar Gallardo. His career started with martial arts films in the 70's before he moved to Z-actioners in the 80's. His films were often produced by Silver Star Film Company, a prolific producer known for making extremely low-budget action films, characterized by very low production values. Throughout his career Gallardo worked with numerous Z-grade stars such as Richard Harrison, Reb Brown, Gordon Mitchell, Christopher Mitchum, Jim Gaines, Mike Monty, Mike Cohen or Ronnie Patterson.
