Anthony (Tony) Sawyer Horton is commonly known as "America's Trainer" because he is the most well-known and recognizable male personal trainer in the USA. He is a personal trainer, creator of many exercise video series, several books, former stand-up comedian, infomercial actor, and movie actor. He moved from the East Coast to California at a young age, and while trying to break into acting, other actors noticed how fit he was, and hired them to train him, including Tom Petty. He was instrumental in changing the genre of exercise videos from being produced as a low-budget cheesy afterthought into professionally produced, high-quality content. His most famous, revolutionary exercise program is P90X.
