As a child, filmmaker Michael Andres started in the arts through dance--a protege of jazz legend Gus Giordano. As a teen, he took 1st-place at U. C. Berkeley for his Dramatic Interpretation of the play "Andersonville Trials. " He also took 4th-place in California and 15th in the nation for his interpretation of the play "Equus.
