Biography

Gregg Barbanell grew up in San Francisco, California where he became involved in theater while attending Washington High School. After graduating, he was accepted into the School of Theater at California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California. After only a year in theater, Gregg reapplied to CalArts for a spot in the School of Film. He was accepted based on a screenplay he wrote and was placed in the elite directing program. Gregg was fortunate to be hand picked for the program and mentored by Alexander Mackendrick.
