
Biography
Balázs Lengyel is known for Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One (2023), Black Widow (2021) and Atomic Blonde (2017). Balázs Lengyel is a Budapest based writer-director. Having studied film at the the University of Budapest, Binger Filmlab in Amsterdam, and the London Film Academy, he’s worked as a screenwriter on numerous feature films like Coyote (2017), Ravine (2021) and TV drama series like the award winning Golden Life at HBO Europe. His most recent credits as a screenwriter include "3000 numbered pieces" a feature directed by Ádám Császi, "Balaton Brigade" a series project that won the Berlinale Co-Pro Series pitch in 2021, and Hunyadi - Rise of the Raven, co-produced by Germany’s Beta Film. As a director his debut feature was Lajkó - gypsy in space, a historical comedy drama that premiered in Warsaw IFF and won the audience award in Trieste S+F Festival.
