From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Cam Archer (born 1982) is an American independent filmmaker and photographer residing in Santa Cruz, California. His feature debut, Wild Tigers I Have Known, premiered at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival. The film was executive produced by filmmaker Gus Van Sant and producer Scott Rudin. The film follows a 13-year old boy coming to terms with being gay, and was photographed by frequent Archer collaborator Aaron Platt, whose work earned a Best Cinematography nomination at the 2007 Independent Spirit Awards.
