Biography

Born on December 25, 1988, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, Steve Haining is a Guinness World Record-holding photographer and an internationally award-winning filmmaker. His creative journey began in the early 2000s while touring North America as a musician. During that time, he developed a strong reputation as a band photographer, which led to opportunities with major music brands including MuchMusic, MTV, Universal Music, Warner, and Vagrant Records. Between 2008 and 2015, Haining built a successful career in commercial and editorial portrait photography, working extensively with public figures-particularly actors and musicians-as well as prominent brands. In 2015, while continuing his global work as a commercial photographer, he transitioned into cinematography, quickly establishing himself as a sought-after Director, DOP and Producer for TV commercials, corporate content, and music videos.
