Biography

Seamus Gibney is a writer, actor, director, and composer based in Calgary, Alberta. In 2019, Seamus created the mockumentary web series "Finger Lickin the SHOW" (2019–2024), a two-season, six-episode project that follows fictionalized versions of Seamus and his friend Travis on their quest for YouTube fame. The series serves as a loose tribute to Nirvanna the Band the Show, making Finger Lickin—in Seamus’s words—“a parody of a parody,” both ironic and poetic in its conception. Yet the show moves beyond parody. What begins with high schoolers chasing internet clout soon spirals into surreal escapades involving Pokémon card heists, matrix delusions from beef jerky "do not eat" packets, and laundering money for a suspiciously all white “Mexican drug cartel.
