Biography

Hussain Munawwar, known as Kuda Foolhu, is a Maldivian film director, actor, and cinematographer. His breakthrough came in 2006 when he portrayed the manipulative character Kudafoolhu in the short film series “Vasvaas. ” He later starred in “Loodhifa” (2011) and made his directorial debut with “Sazaa,” a romantic drama. Despite negative reviews for his second film, “Dhilakani,” Munawwar’s talent as a director was recognized, earning him accolades at the Gaumee Film Awards. His work explores themes of vengeance, redemption, and societal issues .
