Biography
Sabarinath is an independent filmmaker from Kerala, India, whose work is rooted in emotional realism, quiet storytelling, and the unspoken tensions that exist between people. Drawn to intimate narratives and characters who carry fragile inner worlds, he uses cinema as a mirror to memory, longing, silence, and the invisible weight of timing. His filmography includes the poetic short 7 Minute (2025), a reflective story of a love that remained unconfessed until it was too late, and Hope (2026), a visually atmospheric short centered on fate, chance encounters, and the collision of three lives in the fleeting moments before graduation. As both writer and director of these films, he builds narratives from the smallest human gestures — a glance, a hesitation, a silence — letting emotion unfold subtly rather than through exposition. Stylistically, Sabarinath often works with muted dialogue, restrained performances, ambient soundscapes, and grounded framing.
